Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.
Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.
5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.
This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

The Peak Performance Trail Polartec® Power Grid™ Half Zip is a men's midweight grid fleece built to be worn under a shell on high-output days. Its 231 gsm Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric has a gridded back that moves air and moisture away from the body instead of holding it, which is what sets this half zip apart from a flat, insulating fleece. It weighs 445 g and runs from S to 2XL.
Who is this half zip for?
It fits you if you work hard uphill — hiking, ski touring, long trail days — and want a midlayer that dumps heat and dries quickly rather than one that keeps you warm while you stand still. It is not weather protection: there is no membrane, no water column and no water-repellent finish, and the grid construction is built for airflow rather than wind resistance. If you need one layer that handles rain, snowfall or a cold chairlift on its own, choose an insulated jacket or a hardshell jacket instead.
How warm and how breathable is it?
Treat it as temperature management, not insulation. The midweight 231 gsm flat fleece with grid back holds steady warmth while you move and vents quickly when your pace rises, and the half zip with its YKK reversed coil zipper plus the stand-up collar with chinguard let you open or close the chest in one pull. For static time in the cold you will want an insulating or shell layer over the Peak Performance Trail Polartec® Power Grid™ Half Zip.
Which size should you choose?
The Peak Performance Trail Polartec® Power Grid™ Half Zip has a regular fit: close enough to layer flat under a shell jacket, roomy enough for a base layer underneath without pulling across the chest. The 7% elastane in the shell gives the fabric stretch, so it follows arm movement when you reach or pole. Check the size chart on this page against a top you already wear before ordering. Sizes run S to 2XL, except the OFFWHITE colourway, which is offered in M, L and XL only.
What is the fabric and construction of this half zip?
The Peak Performance Trail Polartec® Power Grid™ Half Zip is built from a single layer of midweight 231 gsm Polartec® Power Grid™ flat fleece. The face is smooth so it slides under a shell without catching; the back is a grid of raised squares and channels, which keeps warm air close to the skin at the contact points and lets humid air move out through the channels. There is no lining and no membrane — the whole garment is this one fabric, which is why it breathes as freely as it does. Flatlock seams sit flat against the skin to avoid chafing under a pack strap or a harness, and the sleeve hems have thumbholes to keep the cuffs in place when you pull a jacket over the top.
Is the Trail Polartec® Power Grid™ Half Zip suitable for ski touring?
Yes, as the layer between your base layer and your shell. On the way up, the half zip, the stand-up collar with chinguard and the open grid structure let you shed heat before you start sweating through; on the way down you add a shell over it. Where it stops is clear: this is a midlayer, so it offers no waterproofing and no claimed wind protection, and skiing it as an outer layer in snowfall or wind is not what it was made for. The same applies at the lift station — at 231 gsm with no insulation fill it is not a jacket for standing still in the cold. Storage is minimal too: one zipped patch pocket at the chest, no hand pockets and no hood.
What is it made of and how do you wash it?
The shell is 60% recycled polyester, 33% polyester and 7% elastane. The polyester carries the durability and the fast-drying behaviour; the elastane carries the stretch, and it also means the fabric is not a single-fibre polyester that can be recycled as one material. Machine wash at 40°C, inside out, with similar colours and with the zippers closed. Skip the fabric softener, as it coats the fibres and slows drying. Tumble dry low or dry flat in the shade, and take the garment out of the machine promptly rather than leaving it damp. Do not iron, bleach, dry clean or wet clean professionally.
How sustainable is this fleece?
Two concrete points: the Peak Performance Trail Polartec® Power Grid™ Half Zip is made without intentionally added PFAS, and the shell is 60% recycled polyester, so most of the fibre content is recycled rather than virgin.
