Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.
Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.
5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.
This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

The Peak Performance Freelight Reversible Insulated Hood Jacket is a men's synthetic-insulated jacket with PrimaLoft® Silver fill — 60 g/m² in the body and 40 g/m² in the hood — built as a lightweight insulation and belay layer for mountain use. It is fully reversible, with a different face fabric and a different pocket layout on each side. It is water repellent and windproof, not a waterproof shell.
Who is this jacket for?
This is for a mountain user who wants one packable insulated layer that works as a belay jacket on a ski tour or an alpine climb and as a midlayer under a shell jacket on a resort day. It suits you if you already own a waterproof shell for wet weather. It is not the jacket for skiers who want a single ski-specific outer layer: there is no powder skirt, no adjustable or helmet-compatible hood and no RECCO reflector.
How warm is the Freelight Reversible Insulated Hood Jacket?
Insulation is PrimaLoft® Silver with a filling of 100% recycled polyester, body-mapped at 60 g/m² through the body and 40 g/m² in the hood. That is deliberately light: enough for active movement in cold, dry air and for short stops at a belay, but not enough for long static spells in deep cold without a warmer layer over or under it. The two face fabrics block wind, and a PFC-free durable water repellent treatment sheds light rain and dry snow.
Which size should you choose?
The Freelight Reversible Insulated Hood Jacket has a regular fit and runs in S, M, L and XL, with size availability varying between colourways. The cut carries over a base layer or a thin midlayer without going oversized, and still slides under a shell jacket. Compare your chest measurement against the size chart on this page before you order. If you plan to wear it over a thick midlayer and still want a close fit, keep in mind that this is a regular cut, not a relaxed one. Cuffs and hem are elastic, so there is no adjustment to fine-tune the fit.
How is the Peak Performance Freelight Reversible Insulated Hood Jacket built?
Two face fabrics are used, one on each side of the reversible construction: a 102 gsm, 90D stretch poplin in 94% polyamide and 6% elastane, and a 43 gsm, 20D plain weave in 100% polyamide. Both sides are finished with a PFC-free durable water repellent treatment. Material and insulation are body-mapped, with 60 g/m² PrimaLoft® Silver through the body and 40 g/m² in the hood, and 2-way stretch side panels with inserted elastic at the lower side panel keep the jacket moving with you. The full front closure uses a reversed YKK coil zipper so it works from either side, and each side has its own pocket layout: zippered hand pockets, a zippered chest pocket, an inner mesh stash pocket and a zippered inner pocket.
Is the Freelight Reversible Insulated Hood Jacket suitable for ski touring?
Yes — it is specified as a belay layer, an insulation layer and an outer layer, which is exactly the role it plays on a tour: packed away on the climb, pulled on over a base or midlayer at the top or at a belay. On a resort day it works as the insulating layer under a hardshell. Worn on its own it holds up in dry cold and light precipitation. Where it stops is sustained rain and wet snow: no water column and no seam taping are part of this construction, so it is water repellent rather than waterproof. For a full day of weather on the piste, wear it under a shell.
What is the Freelight Reversible Insulated Hood Jacket made of and how do you wash it?
The filling is 100% recycled polyester, the two shells are 100% polyamide and a 94% polyamide / 6% elastane stretch poplin, and the lining is 100% polyamide. Synthetic fill keeps its loft when damp and washes easily, which matters for a layer that spends its life in a pack. Machine wash at 40 °C on a delicate cycle with zippers closed and similar colours, using a technical detergent to keep the water repellent treatment working. Skip fabric softener and bleach, tumble dry low, remove promptly and line dry in the shade. A cool iron is fine; dry cleaning and professional wet cleaning are not.
How sustainable is this jacket?
