Product information

Swiss virgin wool meets Tasmanian lightness: The WESTALPEN SWISSWOOL HYBRID high-alpine touring jacket for men features a unique combination of SWISSWOOL insulation material and MERINO FLEECE GRID with Tasmanian merino wool on the inside.

The 70 g/m² SWISSWOOL lining is used anywhere where additional protection and warmth is required. Sustainable Swiss virgin wool has been packed in an elastic, breathable and wind-resistant SWISSWOOL TEC-STRETCH material. MERINO FLEECE GRID has been integrated into this hybrid jacket to complement the lightweight lining and elastic outer material: fleece material provides a great deal of freedom of movement, is comfortable on the skin and boasts good heat retention properties thanks to its channel structure. Tasmanian merino wool on the inside also regulates moisture and temperature levels, is soft on the skin and is naturally odor-neutralizing. A combination of SWISSWOOL at the chin and FLEECE GRID MATERIAL at the neck provides optimum climate control. A backpack-compatible breast pocket provides room for storing trail bars, cell phone or map.

MERINO FLEECE LIGHT GRID In the MERINO FLEECE line, ORTOVOX uses the finest merino wool on the inside together with polyester on the outside. What is special about the MERINO FLEECE LIGHT GRID is the waffle structure on the inside: This knit construction means the material is light and provides good ventilation, while also providing high levels of insulation.

SWISSWOOL TEC-STRETCH TEC-STRETCH is a special polyamide material that provides both protection and freedom of movement. Our breathable, wind and water-resistant TEC-STRETCH outer layer perfectly complements its SWISSWOOL lining and underlines the excellent weight-to-insulation ratio.

SWISSWOOL Born out of a pioneering spirit and shaped by our innovative strength, ORTOVOX introduced the first SWISSWOOL products in 2011 - and simultaneously created a new segment of insulating wool products! Wool offers excellent thermal properties and optimum climate comfort. In addition to high functionality, SWISSWOOL is also characterized by its regional origin, its sustainable production and processing.
