Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.
Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.
5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.
This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Who is the LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew Base Layer for?
This Helly Hansen base layer crew is for women who want one first layer for a whole winter of activity, from lift-served ski days to backcountry tours and winter hikes. It is not an outer garment. With no membrane and no coating, it gives no protection against rain, wet snow or wind. It is also not meant to be your only warm layer on cold chairlifts or during long stops in deep cold. For those conditions, wear it under a midlayer and an insulated or shell jacket.

Which size should I choose?
The LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew Base Layer has a regular fit with a fitted 2-layer construction, so it sits close to the body and layers smoothly under a midlayer and shell. How does the LIFA® Merino 2-layer construction work?
The Helly Hansen LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew Base Layer is a 2-in-1 knit, not a laminated fabric. Two layers form one garment: 100% LIFA® on the inside and 100% Merino wool on the outside. Helly Hansen calls this combination LIFA® Stay Warm Technology. The LIFA® side touches your skin and handles moisture management. The Merino side faces outward, toward your midlayer, and provides warmth. There is no insulation fill, no membrane and no coating, so the knit stays breathable and relies on the layers you wear over it for wind and weather protection. Flat lock seams lie flat against the skin for comfort and durability, and the fabric is non-itch.
Is the LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew suitable for ski touring and resort skiing?
On the piste, this women's Helly Hansen base layer crew works as the first layer of a ski system: base layer, midlayer, then a ski jacket. On off-piste and backcountry days, the wicking interior and breathable knit work with you on the climb, and the crew then stays under your midlayer and shell on the descent. Helly Hansen also lists it for mountaineering, hiking, camping and general winter use. Where it stops: the LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew is a midweight base layer, not an insulated top. On long chairlift rides in deep cold or during static periods it needs a midlayer and an insulated or shell outer layer on top. In rain, wet snow or wind it must always be worn under a shell.
What is the LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew made of and how do I wash it?
The overall composition of the Helly Hansen LIFA® Merino Midweight Crew Base Layer is 57% Merino wool and 43% polypropylene. The exterior layer is 100% Merino wool and the interior layer is 100% LIFA®. Because the outer face is wool, this base layer crew needs wool care: wash it inside out with a wool detergent, do not use fabric softener and do not wring it. If you want low-effort laundry with any detergent and no extra steps, this is not the right base layer for you.
